Sarah Horton

I am interested in the ways design can improve quality of life. There are designed objects in my environment that are a delight to use. I have a great vegetable and fruit peeler. I was an early adopter of the iPhone and cannot imagine using any other mobile device. I recently turned in my Suburu for a Prius and continue to be amazed at how intuitive a drive it provides. It practically drives itself!

Of course I also know how design can aggravate or impede simple daily activities. Even after countless visits, I still get banged up trying to operate the door at my physical therapy office—ironic, right?

My respect for the role of design and the responsibility of the designer has informed the work that you see here, on this portfolio website. I have included some of the more impactful projects of the past few years. I will be adding more.
